ELMS 4 hours of Monza 2018

The second race of the 2018 European Le Mans Series (ELMS) took place at the famous Circuit of Monza in Italy. Built in the Parco di Monza on the outskirts of Milan, this historic racetrack boasts great corners such as Curva di Lesmo, Variante Ascari and Curva Parabolica. With long straights and tight chicanes, Monza is a ‘full throttle’ track that separates the men from the boys.

This year’s overall winners were the G-Drive trio of Roman Rusinov, Jean-Eric Vergne and Andrea Pizzitola (26) ahead of TDS Racing’s Matthieu Vaxivière, Francois Perrodo and Loic Duval (33). Third were the IDEC Sports team driven by Paul Lafargue, Paul-Loup Chatin and Memo Rojas (28).

The LMP3 category was won by the Eurointernational Ligier of Kay van Berlo and Giorgio Mondini (11) and the GTE-Pro Class victory went to the 'Spirit of Racing' Ferrari F488 GTE of Matt Griffin, Duncan Cameron, and Aaron Scott (55).

Fast, narrow and ‘old-school’, this was my first visit to Monza and I had a great time capturing the action. I hope you enjoy this small selection of photos from the ELMS weekend.
